525,600 minutes.
That’s how many minutes there are in a year.
(If you sang that, you are a person after my own heart).
When it comes to time, we have all been given the same amount.
There are 1440 minutes every day. When you take out sleeping, and the time you spend at work, there aren’t many minutes left to do the things that matter.
What you do with your time, is up to you.
Some people will live each day like it’s their last.
Others will spend as much time as possible with their loved ones.
That’s why it’s important to do something every day that is meaningful to you.
I love to run and exercise. So I make time for that. That does mean I choose to wake up at 5:20 a.m. to get my workout done, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for my own well-being.
Reading is something I enjoy doing in the evenings, so I make time for that.
Every day at the dinner table, Tom and I try to have fun conversations with the kids, as that’s something I never had as a kid.
I make the time to do my daughter’s hair once a week, as it’s something that she loves, and it’s our bonding experience.
I’m still yet to find something that I can do with just Miles, but we’ll find something I’m sure.
Spend your time doing the things you love, with the people you love.
