High Five Friday #43

For those of us that work full time, we all love our Friday’s.  Friday’s mean it’s the end of the working week and we get the weekend off.

My Friday’s happen to be a Thursday.  As my working week is Sunday to Thursday.

I still like my Friday’s though cause it means I get to catch up on all the things I didn’t get a chance to during the week.

So let’s give a High Five to these five things.

Five Pictures

.1. New kicks thanks to Under Armour Australia.  The Bandit2, what a great shoe! Mind you I’ve only had 3 runs in them, but loving them so far.

.2. Taken on my last long trail run 3 weeks ago.  How I miss the trails.

.3. Three Jacks Track Nature reserve.  The wildflowers were out in full force, and it was just beautiful.

.4. Merv’s Adventures; by Miles.  My son wrote a book, and it’s AWESOME.

.5. Running Heroes gave me a new shirt! And I got my new flavour of tailwind delivered on the same day. It was a good day.

Five Links

.1. Most women don’t want to lift weights because they don’t want to get “Bulky”.

Building Muscle debunk that myth: Bulky is a Lie

.2. Training for a trail race is very different to training for a road race.

Here Trail Runner Mag provide 5 Workouts to Build Trail-Racing Strength.

.3. There a 525,365 minutes in a year (thank’s Rent).  We all have the same amount of time, but some of us manage our time better than others.

This gem by Brightside has been hiding in my share folder since May (oops sorry about that).  Here are 22 Ways to save time, in a very different and unique way.  I tend to do #7 & #11 a lot.

.4. I was surprised to learn the amount of runners that use a hydration bladder and have no idea how to clean it.

Competitor give us some useful tips on how to properly clean your hydration bladder.

I do all these things.  If it’s sunny I will hang it out on the washing line.  The sun is a natural sanitizer. Milton is another great alternative.

.5. The end of the year is fast approaching.  Many of us will have achieved out goals.  Yet there will many of us will be disappointed that we haven’t hit our running goals.

So what’s holding you back? then you need to read this article by Running Heroes.
