Ultimate Coffee Date #23

While I was in Melbourne visiting family I popped into the supermarket and noticed that the brand of coffee that I like was on sale.  So I bought a few bags.

It wasn’t until I got home and went to open the bag of coffee to use that I noticed it was NOT the coffee I normally get.

Instead of the Gloria Jeans Vanilla coffee, I grabbed the Hazelnut Praline!

They have the same coloured bag, and well I didn’t exactly read the label, but let me tell you, it was a great accident, because this Hazelnut Praline, is delicious.

So that’s what I’m having today, while we sit down for our monthly coffee date.

2016 Howden & Matilda

If we were sitting down for coffee I would tell you that I feel like April had been a pretty productive month.

I ran a total of 135km, which brings my yearly total to 507.5km.

If I keep this up I will smash out an easy 1500km for the year.

While on the running bandwagon, I will mention that I ran every Saturday and Sunday for April.

With the SAAC club season beginning, I saw myself running Saturday mornings.

And with Wings for Life being a night run, I did my long runs Sunday nights.

I actually don’t mind running at night now.  It’s quite refreshing.

April also saw me run the Werribee Mansion Run, and my first club win for the year, at the Telstra Shop 6.5km Handicap.

If we were sitting down for coffee I would tell you that I read Life & Death. Twilight re: imagined.

It was hard to get past the gender changes in the characters, and well it wasn’t the same as Twilight, but it was interesting all the same.

I honestly thought I wouldn’t be on track for my reading goal, but I seem to be going pretty well, with 19 out of 50 books down.

I also have 3 on my reading list at the moment:

Dear Theo is Vincent van Gogh’s autobiography and well it’s really difficult to read. It’s just wordy, and you can tell things have gotten lost in translation. So this one is going to take me a while to read, as I’m only reading 3-4 pages every few days.

Three Wishes is an Audiobook, which I listen to either while running or doing housework.

If we were sitting down for coffee I would tell you that we have had a really good month with Geocaching.

While in Melbourne, we had a caching afternoon.  We all had a ball, and found caches of all different sizes.

Geocaching Point Cook

Our geocache Barri yalug has been officially found.  The kids were super excited when I told them that.

Overall April has been a great month.

Let’s see what May will bring.

If we were sitting down for coffee what would you tell me?
