High Five Friday #18

Can we have a huge high-five!  Yeah man, beginning of a long weekend (here in Vic, Australia).

Boo Yeah!

Five Pictures

HHF#18

.1. I’m running every day in June. Started this week. Let’s just say this could be very interesting.

.2. I own Practical Paleo as an ebook, but decided to buy a hard copy.  It arrived yesterday, and I’m so excited to dive into the recipes.

.3. This one is actually a video.  It shows Miles climbing the rope to the very top.  He loves gymnastics.

.4. I kid you not I have a cave boy, he absolutely chowed down on this chicken.  He polished it off and asked for more.

.5. Miles snow flake he is making at school.  I asked him how many pretzels went into his mouth.  He said none, I’m impressed cause he loves his pretzels.

.1. Another running friend of mine is about to toss in his Garmin when he shared this Dear Garmin article, I told him the drama’s I had with Garmin. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my fr210 but wasn’t impressed when it died after 20 months.

.2. When DoYouYoga sent this email on 5 Exercises and Yoga Poses for Happy Toes, I knew I had to share it.  Seriously it’s just another reason why running and yoga go hand in hand.

.3. How you Fuel for your long run is super important. As a runner, I have been guilty (and winning) in all three categories.  This is why you do all your fuel testing in training runs.

Everyone is different, you need to work out what works for you.

.4. A few weeks ago I purchased the Eat Drink Paleo Cookbook.  Well, this week I have been cooking from it.  Seriously this cookbook is a must to have on your bookshelf.

.5. I love to read, but now as a working parent, finding the time to read gets a little tricky.  I’m behind on my reading challenge (currently 2 books).  This is why I have decided to listen to audiobooks (as they still count IMO to my challenge), on my long runs.

Our local library has the option to hire audiobooks via Bolinda audio.  The selection isn’t fantastic though.  Which is why I’m thinking of getting an Audible subscription. If you have one do you think it’s worthwhile?

What are you high-fiving this week?
