Fly on the Wall

We have all had those moments where we would love to be a fly on the wall.  To have the inside information.  I mean would that be cool?

There are so many moments in time where I would love to just be there to see what really happened.
I would love to have witnessed the following;

  • How Einstein discovered his theory of relativity.
  • JFK’s assignation
  • The building of the pyramids
  • Ned Kelly Shoot out
  • Ansel Adam’s developing his prints.

While these are all awesome things to witness, you’d know what I’d really love to witness? My kids at school.

It amazes me what they are learning.  They are like sponges.

Yes, I do get to witness bits and bobs of how they are learning, but being in their classroom and helping out with other things, but it’s not the same, because they know I’m there.

I love sneaking up on the kids when they are playing, and they don’t know I’m watching.  It’s truly magical and makes me realise how lucky I am to be a parent.

If you could be a fly on the wall at any point of time, where would you choose and why?

Footnotes

I initially had this blog post scheduled for Sunday.  However, I was crazy busy with work and getting things ready for Run The Gap that it never happened. I just didn’t get the opportunity to write it.  Which is why I’m writing it now.

I’m also fully aware that the feature image is not a ‘Fly’, but a butterfly has fly in it, so that’s my justification.

  1. I think picking the butterfly was better than a fly, haha.. Much prettier to look at:) Those are some great “fly on the wall” point in times.. Because I am a Christian, I think I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall to Christ’s birth:)
