A Letter to Me

I hear the rumble of the postman on his bike. He pauses and places a letter in the mailbox before continuing on his route.

It’s an ordinary day, and I go to the mailbox expecting, bills and junk mail.

There among the mail is a letter addressed to me. The handwriting is familiar, and I flip it over and on the back it has ❤️ me.

The letter is from me.

Hello, my dear friend,

You have been through a lot in the last 10 years, and more in the last 15.

With love, children, divorce, and life as a single parent, it’s safe to say that it has been a roller coaster.

In amongst all those turbulent moments, there has been love, joy, laughter, and growth.

I’m here to let you know that we are doing just fine. Better than fine, we are wonderful.

Yes, you will find the love that you truly deserve.

This person will support you, love you, and think the world of not only you but your two little munchkins.

Life is meant to be shared, and you will get to do just that.

You are going to do some amazing things, but just remember, that it’s ok to ask for help.

Asking for help doesn’t make you less of a person, you will get the guidance and encouragement that you need. It will also give you accountability, which you need for motivation.

Be kind to yourself, and love yourself unconditionally.

Love,

Me xxoo 😘
