Talbot is a small town about 1 hour’s drive from Stawell or 40 minutes north of Ballarat.
Every 3rd Sunday of the month, Talbot holds a farmers market.
I have friends that have visited this farmers market and have loved it and have told me numerous times to go.
It was a last-minute decision for Tom and me, but we decided to bite the bullet and go. We didn’t have any other plans for the day, so why not.
Week 8 – Talbot Farmers Market
This old bike was repurposed as a sign. While I didn’t buy waffles, I did buy their chai, traditionally made, not that instant crap. And it was delicious.
The market has a bit of everything, and in my opinion, it’s one of the better country markets out there. It’s also dog-friendly.
If you aren’t going to the market, Talbot has so much history it’s a photographer’s paradise, it really is a quaint little town.
We ended up buying organic vegetables, homemade licorice, and even some lamb chops. I may have also added another book to my bookshelf.
While we might not go every month, the market is definitely one I will be revisiting.
