I have done a day in the life post before. It’s been way too long since I’ve done one so I thought it would be a good idea to revisit one.
Also it gives me something to write about for my Blog In Everyday in Jan Challenge.
The day in question is 10th January 2015.
And it goes a little something like this.
With the kids having an extended sleepover at my parents house, it’s nice to have a lazy morning.
As I’m doing the 21dsd I’m finding that fasting from 8pm to 8am is really working for me.
For breakfast I make myself a pork & spinach omelette with (leftover) steamed veggies with homemade mayo.
I also decided to go a Chai for breakfast, but I put a bit too much coconut milk in it and I couldn’t do the flavour. Oh well, live and learn.
Because I would have a long shift at work, I prep dinner in the slow cooker. Osso Bucco stew. Super easy and delicious and with heaps of leftovers. (Who doesn’t love leftovers?!)
When breakfast was done and the dishes all cleaned, I settle in front of my computer and planned my blog posts.
One of the things I love to do when I’m working is to listen to music. On today’s agenda was Brooke Fraser, Evermore, George & Sarah Blasko. An unintentional Aus/NZ artist mix.
Of course I also spent time catching up on my blog reading, cruised the RMA posts on facebook and checked my emails.
Which reminds me I’m delighted to announce that I will be apart of the Runaway Bridal Planner Blog Hop commencing in February.

It should be super fun, and I’m excited to participate.
When I had enough of working on the computer, I put my walking shoes on, collected all the library books and walked to the library.
On the way we walked pass this building with these really cool doors.
I’ll be revisiting them with the camera (rather than my phone) and capture them in further detail.
On the way home we decided to make a detour through the running track.
The new running track (which is A Class to run on), was offically opened on 18th December 2014.
Since then they have now put barriers around the track, to stop over use of the inside lanes.
I’ll still be using the track regardless of the barriers.
After our walk, I had lunch (sorry no photo), chilled then got ready for work.
This was my first official shift as supervisor. It was just as well it was ‘relatively’ quiet, I think I did ok. But feedback that I got from the managers does help, and they said I did a great job.
Given that I was working the late shift I got to have a 1 hour dinner break. One of the advantages of being so close to work is that when I do have a 1 hour break I can go home and spend time with my family (this time just Tom).
Dinner – the Osso Bucco stew was amazing. I defrosted some 21dsd approved crackers so I could soak up the juices.
When the 1 hour was up, I headed back to work. While walking down one of the aisle, I noticed a tea I thought I might like.
Now this is a green tea I like and can enjoy.
The rest of the day was pretty boring, so I’m not going to bore you with work stuff, but once I got home, I got in my pj’s and just relaxed, playing the iPad, and then eventually read some pages of an unfinished book.
Then it was time to have a hot date – with my pillow.

Just looking at the omlet made me crave:) I may just change my mind on what’s for dinner tonight:)
Love those doors! I am not as skilled photographer as you. But I will say sometimes I love to find little treasures like that! Actually, those doors would be such a cute backdrop for a vintage outdoor wedding:) can’t help it the wedding decorator tends to come out in me:)
It’s so fun to read about others lives! You seriously do a lot, I bet you really enjoy the date with the pillow:)
Thanks for mentioning the hop, very awesome of you!!!!
So did you end up making an omlet?
the other day when we were out for a photo shoot for the blog, I was like, must come back here with the kids, would make a great backdrop.
Some days I feel like I don’t do a lot, and then other days, it’s non stop.
I look forward to the hop too.
Yes, I did end up having the Omlet, it didn’t look quite as good as yours, but it tasted great:)
