More Mantra

Lorna Jane is a woman who is all about fitness and fashion.

If you live in Australia and don’t know who Lorna Jane is then you live under a rock, just saying.

Anyway, I really love her philosophy of “Move, Nourish, Believe”, she really is inspiring to all women of all ages. Now “Move, Nourish, Believe” is also a blog, and it is on bloglovin, which is how I came across the More Mantra blog post.

I would like to share with you my top 5 #MOREMANTRAS.

Laugh

Often.  Laughter really is the best medicine and can make any bad mood disappear.
There is nothing better than a good belly laugh, where you lose your voice, start clapping like a seal and have tears in your eyes.  Seriously people laughter is good for the soul.

Love

Love is many things to many people. And Love can be expressed in many ways.  This scripture is often quoted at weddings, and you can see why Jesus really put it beautifully.  Now even if you don’t believe in the Bible and are not religious, doesn’t matter, I’m sure you’d agree with the scripture regardless.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.
Love isn't selfish or quick tempered.
It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do.
Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.

When we do things with love we reap the benefits of it.  Life is so much joy when we love.
So Love. Love what you do and do what you love.

Lift

I’m talking weights, barbells, kettlebells et al. Lifting weights will not bulk you up, far from it.  That’s the biggest myth when it comes to women and lifting weights.
So lift heavy, lift often, and watch yourself get lean and mean (in a bikini).

Eat Clean

It really all does start with food.
The food we eat needs to nourish our bodies. We need to fill it with all the good stuff. Get back to basics when it comes to food, and discover a whole new world of flavours.

Read

Expand your world with the power of knowledge.  If you aren’t into reading then listen.
There are many books on audio, and then there is the world of podcasts.
Learn about all the things that interest you. You are never too old to discover something new.

So there you have it, my more mantras.
