Week 4 of Motivational Monday – July Challenge
Just like with yoga I have been of Pilates for a few years.
Pilates is similar to yoga but different.
While yoga connects you to your breath along with your movements, I found that pilates focuses on your core (front and back) and is a great tool for the overall toning of your body.
Pilates also helps with flexibility, back pain, and increasing strength. All while using your own body, and body weight. Tools like bands and or machines can all help you with getting the correct alignment.
I would really like to go to an actual class where they use machines. One day.
In the meantime, I will just follow along with my Mari Winsor DVD.
