Today marks the last day of my Yoga Challenge.
And before you ask I did not do it every day. Yep, that’s right, but no I didn’t fail. Well not in my books.
You see I only work out 6 days a week. I always allow myself a rest day. Sunday is normally my rest day, but because we traveled down to Melbourne on Friday, I chose to have Friday as my rest day instead.
The other thing I should mention is that I did actually set my alarm early on Friday morning, but I slept through it. I must have been that tired. I can’t believe I didn’t hear it. Oh well, I must have really needed the sleep-in.
So my week of yoga stretched out like this:
Monday – Namaste Yoga Extended Leg Balance
My downward dog is looking pretty pathetic but day 1 of my #yoga challenge complete #makeitcount pic.twitter.com/t2ALksxTT4

Thursday – Namaste Yoga Dancing Sun
Friday – n/a
Saturday – Katy Appleton Geri Body Yoga
My Bridge pose is pretty pathetic, but I do love me some Tree Pose.
Sunday – After my 18km run NTC Stretch Guide by Shawna Johnson
I must say that I have enjoyed this Stretch of Yoga. I guess because I’m at the highest point of half marathon training for RunMelbourne in 2 weeks’ time, it has really helped to balance out my tired muscles.
Tomorrow I start my next Challenge, but you’ll have to wait until then to find out what it is.
Have you tired yoga? If you haven’t why not?
What benefits of yoga have you discovered?
What’s your favorite stretching pose?
I think 6/7 days is pretty awesome! Definitely need one rest day a week especially when you’re training so hard 🙂
I also like the Leah Kim yoga workouts on the NTC app! One of them is real tough though 😉
Namaste 🙂
I have unlocked that one yet, sounds like a good one though. I’ve only unlocked 520mins on this phone (my old phone was nearly 1000mins, but it didn’t transfer the time over which I was a bit peeved about).
I’ve tried doing yoga at home but I am never sure if I am doing it right or not. I think I need to take a few group classes and get the flow of things before taking it on at home on my own.
That app you’re using looks awesome. I will have to find a good Iphone alternative.
I’ve done yoga a home for a while now. My first class was actually only recently (bikram yoga), if you can get at least one class in it will benefit you either way.
As for the app, you can get NTC for apple and for android go here to download to your device.
