What are the chances that the 19th High Five Friday just happens to fall on the 19th… Freaky!
I know I haven’t posted much this week, I’ve been living life and haven’t had much to say. And I’d rather have quality posts over quantity.
Five Pictures
.1. Tom and I were walking among the clouds while trekking through the Grampians. It was a sorry type of day weather-wise, it made actually looking for the track a lot more interesting.
.2. Miles drew a toy car for me. Strangely looks like a platypus.
.3. Another day of trekking, much better weather conditions, but the last few km were goat track. No seriously GOAT TRACK.
.4. Kayla was asking how to spell lasagne the other day. I didn’t question it. Then I discovered this love note from her on the fridge. Bless her.
.5. Was listening to “Ladies of the 80’s” on the RockMyRun app. It was a slow short run for Run June. Love how RMR gives you your steps per minute. Mine is not quite at 180, but not bad considering it was a short slow run.
Five Links
.1. Running – The article “it takes 7 minutes” came up in my newsfeeds on Facebook. It was something that I could instantly relate to, and so I had to share it with you. So when in doubt allow 7 minutes. You’ll have your answer by the time the 7 minutes have past.
.2. Yoga – Christine a Yogi and fellow runner shared this blog post “Recovery Yoga for Runners”. I do most of these stretches after a run and always feel better afterwards.
.3. Food – This has to be one of the easiest recipes out there, and Miles loves it. Roast Cabbage Slices. Butter or Lard is our favourite.
.4. Inspiration – I’m a parent so of course, I want to set a good example for my kids, but what I love about this article from Lifehack “Fearless Mindset” is that we can apply the same principles in our own life.
.5. RunMum – Which brings me to a past link that relates to the above Lifehack article “Why it’s ok to Fail“.
What do you give a high five to this week?
Looks cold up there, but beautiful! I met some Aussies on my white water river trip last weekend in Moab, Utah and I think we talked almost non stop and became friends almost instantly haha. I even mentioned you and your blog to them, the couple I met was from near the Brisbane area and they have been to the Grampians but the gal is a surfer and refuses to stay away from the waves for too long LOL It was a great time, I love meeting new people.
If I grew up near the water I would want to stay close to it too, but I didn’t so I’m fine with Mountains.
I love meeting people like that. You trip sounds like so much fun.
Love the pictures from your trek! Thanks for including my post here! Hope you’re having a great weekend!
You are most welcome.
That looks like a mighty cold and damp trek, I bet when you got home the shower was rated as up there as one of the top 10 in your life huh?
Surprisingly no. Don’t get me wrong the shower was lovely, but getting rid of wet clothes and the wet shoes was much better.
Warm dry clothes were very nice, as was the hot chocolate infront of the hot fire.
