I set a reading goal of 40 books for the year. The twist was that I created a list of the books I’m going to read.
You can read that list here.
While 40 books are less than what I read last year, I’m being realistic here. My stretch goal is still set to 60. While I may not get to 60, sometimes you just got to aim high, because you never know what could happen.
You can read what I read for the first quarter here.
What I’ve Read in 2019 – 2nd Quarter
A – Audiobook
NF – Non-Fiction
RR – Re-Read
DNF – Did not finish
- My Sisters’ Secret
- One Little Mistake (A)
- Level up your life (NF)
- The Body Electric
- Paris for One
- If I forget you
- 30 ways to reboot your body
This quarter has seen me read a lot less.
It has also seen me read books that are not on my list.
Reading less hasn’t been by choice, but there are only so many hours in the day, and with so many other projects going on, I haven’t made reading a priority.
Podcasts have been filling my time while running (and I’m backlogged there too). When I knit or crochet, I will be catching up on a TV show or listening to the backlog of podcasts.
This is why I have set a timer to read for 10 minutes for at least 4/5 days of the week. I may not get many pages to read in the 10 minutes, but it’s better than nothing.
Six months in, and I’ve read a total of 25 books, 2 of which were big fat DNF. So really that tally is 23. On target.
As for the books that aren’t on my list. Well, these are books that I bought years ago on Kindle. They are short, and I figure, I’ll read these while waiting in line for stuff, like at the hairdresser, doctor, etc. Funnily enough, I got this tip from the book “Level Up Your Life”. And like Jim Kwik says;
Little by little, a little becomes a lot

Happy Reading!
