1. The Earth just after it has rained.
Do you know the smell that I’m talking about?
When it hasn’t rained for a really long time, the earth gives of this particular scent. It’s like dirt, wet leaves, bark, moist compost, floral, honey & sunshine. There is something magical about this smell that I wish I could bottle up.
2. Baking Bread
There is something about the smell of freshly baked bread that is warming to the soul. Even though I don’t eat as much bread as I use to, I still love the smell of freshly baked bread.
3. Wood Fire
The first time I met Tom he smelt like a wood fire. I later learned that he had a wood fire at home. This would explain why he always smells of wood, fire & ash. This smell is just so warm and comforting. I love it.
This could be chicken, pork, beef, lamb, goat, I don’t care. If it’s roasting in the oven/grill/slow cooker, the smell is just devine and makes me want to drools.
