What began as a simple running blog has evolved into a platform for sharing stories, lessons, and progress. While the pace of my running has slowed since July 2022, my commitment to the sport and my personal fitness journey has only intensified.
Strength Gains and Future Goals
This year, I set three primary strength goals:
- Deadlift: 100kg (1RM)
- Squat: 80kg (1RM)
- Bench Press: 40kg (1RM)
I’m proud to say that I achieved all three of these goals earlier this year. As I move forward, I’m aiming for a 110kg deadlift and a 90kg squat. While a long-term shoulder injury has temporarily halted my bench press progress, I’m determined to work my way back up to 40kg (and hopefully beyond) in the future.
Running and Beyond
Running remains a cornerstone of my fitness routine. I’ve been consistently averaging 20km per week and gradually increasing my mileage as I work towards another ultramarathon. I’m excited about the possibility of ticking off two bucket list items in the coming years: another ultra and an event in South Australia.
And let’s not forget about SUP! It’s still on my to-do list, and I’m determined to make it happen next year.
Looking Ahead
As I reflect on this past year, I’m filled with gratitude for the progress I’ve made. I’m excited to see what the future holds and to continue sharing my journey with all of you.
