With a day off in lieu, I knew exactly where I wanted to go for this week’s quest.
Ideally, I would have liked to have more cloud cover, so I could play with filters and do a long daylight exposure. Alas, that was not meant to be.
There will be plenty more opportunities I know, and this location I’m sure will have a revisit either at sunset, twilight or the dead of night.
In the meantime enjoy this week’s image.
Tuesday #19
Location: Old Silo near the railroad. Corner Griffiths St & Lake Rd
Lens: 17-40mm
Focal length: 40mm
F/stop: 8.0
Speed: 1/160
ISO: 320
This shot almost didn’t happen. I didn’t intend to come around to this part of the silo, glad I did.
It’s strange because just last night I was commenting on a friend’s image. I told her it reminded me of the ballet teacups by Olive Cotton.
Was I challenging one of my favourite (Australian) photographers? Possibly, or it could just be a coincidence?
You decide.
