January; Where’s it at?

It’s true, time does go by a lot faster when you get older.

I remember as a kid the summer holidays went on forever.

This year, I swear they were over in a blink of an eye.

So while I’m a few days late for January; Where’s it at, I hope you understand why.

Running – Well the physio is happy with my progress, and agree’s to return to running slowly.  I’ve just finished week 4 of a 12-week Return to Running program.

It’s slow progress, but I don’t want to get injured again.

Challenge – Along with my return to running program I’ve also started a 30-day challenge, that focuses on running form.  I’m currently on stage 3 (halfway through), and so far so good.  Anything that helps prevent another injury I’m all for.

Reading – I’m currently on the last book of the Twilight series; Breaking Dawn.  It’s been a good 7 years since I’ve read this series, and well I’m really enjoying re reading it.

In fact, it has inspired me to re-read all the series I have.

When I complete Breaking Dawn, I shall read Waterfall, then travel on the Wolves of Mercy Falls aka the Shiver Series.

Then I’m not too sure, do I go Inkheart Series or Fallen?   Oh, the choices!

So reading is pretty much covered.

Music – I’m loving the suggestions that apple music is giving me.  I listened to McClymont’s new album the other day and I was really impressed.  I shall be listening to their back catalogue.

I’m not loving that my iPod has gone AWOL.  It’s either been stolen or it’s just missing in the house.  I miss, carrying my phone with me while running, while handy is bulky, and there are days when I just want to listen to music.

Holidays – While it’s been school holidays for the kids, I’ve still had to work full time.  This is why we decided at the Australia Day long weekend to have a mini getaway.

We were initially thinking of Portland, but we were unable to get accommodation.  We ended up finding an apartment in Marengo (the outskirts of Apollo Bay).

It was the family holiday we needed.

We explored, geocached, fished, swam and had a great time.
