Yeah, well it happened again, doh!
But that’s the beauty with the project, there are no rules (except for the Tuesday thing), so any image goes.
On this particular day, Miles was making a mug cake. He wanted dessert, and well we had nothing. Kayla had been making mug cakes the last few nights, so he decided to give it a go.
It ended up being a bit of a disaster. However, he gave it a go. While he was disappointed it didn’t turn out (it had burnt), he realised his mistake.
I helped him make the 2nd batch, and he realised where he went wrong and was grateful for the help.
To make him feel better, I told him all the stories of mistakes we have made while cooking. Like the time I forgot to turn on the oven (we had breakfast for dinner that night). The time when my mum (his Abeula) put salt instead of sugar in a cake. And more recently, when Kayla made donuts and forgot to include the egg (they were still edible).
We had a laugh, and it made him feel better.
