High Five Friday #54

It’s Friday the 13th!

It’s not unlucky for me, so let’s dive right into High Five Friday!

With Easter over and done with, I can proudly say I did not eat any chocolate eggs.

In a few days’ time, I will rock out a personal best at the Australian Running Festival in Canberra.

My Fridays for the last few months have been spent running long distances, so it will be nice to have a relaxing Friday for once before my big event.

With family visiting from oversea’s, we had a few adventures out in the park.

One of these’s adventures was out to Lake Wartook.  It was such a calm day and not a soul about. The kids had a great time throwing rocks and sticks from the embankment.

Where’s it At is a monthly themed post that I have now combined with High Five Friday. It’s a collection of random words, that best describe the ins and outs of that month.

Five Random Words

Continuing

Kayla’s watermelon poncho is finished.  She loves it.  It was such a simple pattern, that I look forward to making another one but in a different colour.

In the meantime, I’m still powering through my 365 training blanket.  I’m nearing the end of October.  At this rate, I’ll be finished by hopefully May.

Undecided

After Canberra, I have no other race plans.  I’m so unsure of what I want to accomplish next.  Do I want to aim for a 5k pb, or a 10k? Do I want to do another trail event?

I will decide what, after Canberra.  Right now my focus is that PB.

Morning

I’ve been trying to start my mornings with healthy habits.  Instead of jumping on to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, I instead spend time reading and listening to podcasts.

While some mornings I just want to phaff around, I want to set my day up with positivity and do something that I love.

My challenge for you is for you to do something positive in the morning.  Something that will make you grow as a person.

Ditch

My 2nd round of the Whole Life Challenge is officially over.  It was exactly what I needed to get me ready for Canberra.

Gluten is not my friend. The belly hangover I get when I consume it is just not worth it.

I have found alternatives, like pulse pasta (made from chickpeas, beans etc), just don’t overcook it, goes mushy.

Processing

I’ve had family visit me this last month, and I got a bit crazy with photo taking.  Like maybe over 800 shots!

So I have lots of photo processing to do.
