I have been looking forward to this run all year. For 2 reasons.
- It’s on home turf.
- It marks a special anniversary.
So what’s so special about this particular run? Location, Location, Location.
Run the Gap offers a unique experience for any runner. Both the 6km run and 11.5km run features tracks, on path, bitumen, gravel, dirt track, and open plains. With spectacular views of the Grampians, and for the longer distance runners, a chance to run along the Bellfield Wall Dam.
Although I was suffering from Wheat Belly (I will talk about this in another post), I still had a great time. You couldn’t have asked for better running weather (in my opinion). It was a great turn out with over 600 participants, that also being my mum! I guess you could say I get my running greatness from my mum, she has been running for as long as I can remember.
Love you mum, you are the best, and so proud of you, thanks for coming up and running too. My mum truly is awesome.
But a huge thank you to the Run The Gap team for a great event and all the volunteers, the free breakfast/brunch rocked too.
I look forward to many more Run The Gap’s.
