August is a bridging month in the Wimmera. I say that because it’s the month where we transition from Winter to Spring.
We will have days where it will be sunny and glorious, and make you realise that you have missed the warmer days.
Then BAM it will be snowing. It’s like the weather gods are saying “that’s just a reminder that it’s still winter”. I mean seriously wth?!
But August is the month that the wild flowers start to bloom.
And it all starts with the wattle.
Week 36 – Golden Wattle
When you start to see that Golden Wattle bloom you know winter is ending and spring is on the way.
It’s just such a happy colour, and who wouldn’t be happy that winter is ending.
