Mi Trail Mix

Trail mix, (also known as stroggin) is one of those must-take items when you go hiking, trail running, camping, or simply just want a snack.

The great thing about trail mix is that you can add anything to it. Don’t like peanuts, don’t add them. Not into sultana’s, sub it with another dried fruit.

I like making this up in a big batch and then I can divide it into portions. Then it’s simple to grab a portion for the lunch box.

Stroggin Mix

Base

  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Walnuts
  • Dried fruit (sultana’s, dried apple, dried apricots)
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Pepita’s (pumpkin seeds)

Optional extra’s

  • Pretzels
  • Smarties or M&M’s
  • Chocolate bits
  • Shredded coconut

Store in zip lock bags and through in your pack when you are ready to go on an adventure.
