I have been meaning to do a review on this recipe for yonks. Now that I’m not doing whole30, I thought it would be the perfect time to tell you exactly what I thought on this recipe. I could have done this post in August, but I thought it’s not exactly whole30 compliant, and well I didn’t want my readers to think that I cheated in my whole30 experience, which is why I’m posting it now.
This particular recipe of Carrie’s was one of my first none ‘breakfast’ recipes I made. I will admit that my result didn’t look like that in the photo, but doesn’t matter it was yummy.
Personally I think the recipe makes an excellent side dish, but you can totally have it as a stand alone meal if you wish.
If you don’t have leeks you can use onion’s but you wont get the same results. Leeks melt more, and have a more subtle taste and texture to onions, but if you don’t have enough leeks, just chuck in some onion.
For those of you that are still doing Paleo, this is more of a Primal recipe, but totally worth it.
